About our Organization
The Miss Iowa Scholarship Program is the official state preliminary to the Miss America Opportunity and part of one of the world's largest providers of scholarships for women. Through scholarship, leadership, service, and personal development, we empower young women to achieve their goals while making a meaningful impact in their communities.
As a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization, we provide opportunities for participants to build confidence, develop professional skills, earn scholarships, and advocate for causes they are passionate about. Along the way, they gain lifelong friendships, valuable experiences, and the tools to lead with purpose both on and off the stage.
Our Programs
We offer opportunities for young women of all ages to participate, grow, and lead through three unique programs.
Miss Iowa’s Rising Stars
Our Rising Stars program introduces younger participants to personal growth, service, and self‑expression, fostering confidence and leadership from an early age.
Miss Iowa
Women ages 18–28 compete for scholarships, leadership development, and the opportunity to represent Iowa at the Miss America Competition.
Miss Iowa's Teen
Designed for young women ages 14–18, Miss Iowa’s Teen focuses on confidence‑building, leadership skills, and scholarship opportunities in a supportive environment.
Why Compete?
Competing in the Miss Iowa Scholarship Program is about more than a crown. Participants gain lifelong skills, scholarship support, mentorship, and the opportunity to serve as leaders and role models in their communities.
Whether you’re passionate about service, education, advocacy, or personal growth, there’s a place for you in the Miss Iowa family.
