Welcome to the new site layout ...

The new layout contains affiliate links in the upper left corner.  The "Back" and "Next" buttons and bars allow you to scroll through the affiliates.  Look closely as there will also be scroll bars in other areas as well.  If you find something of interest on one of the affiliate sites please consider making a purchase as each purchase made will generate a small amount of revenue for the Miss Iowa Scholarship Program. 

On the left just below the affiliates will be a donation button.  You can use this link to make a cash or credit card donation through PayPal. 

At the lower left you will find the latest tweets from Anne Michael!  It's always fun to keep up with her activities even when she doesn't have time for a complete write up in her blog.

The site is still in a little state of flux but if you encounter any problems or see something I may have forgotten, please let me know and I will get it corrected.

 Downtime

Early tomorrow morning, approximately 3:00 am Monday the 6th, there will be a short period of downtime while an SSL Secure Site Certificate is installed. This scheduling is to, hopefully, eliminate as much interference with the website as possible. To those who may wish to view at that late/early hour, please accept our apologies for the delay and thanks for your patience.

Those of you who have recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 may be experiencing layout issues with the site. Either set your browser to view all sites in "Compatibility View" or add missiowa.com to your list of selected sites in the compatibility view area.

You can access the "Compatibility View" by either clicking the button directly to the right of the browser address bar or go to "Tools", scroll midway and select "Compatibility View".

You may also consider using a different browser such as Firefox or Opera as this problem is unique to IE 8 only.

My apologies for these difficulties but they are a direct result of base changes to the Internet Explorer browser.
